I had the incredible opportunity to get connected with other youth who are passionate about making a change in mental and emotional health. We sat in a circle in an office at Health Within, and shared our feelings. Then, we went on to talk about the intern's project, which is teaching after school classes based on the curriculum from Full of Ourselves. After that, Dr. Kakaiya asked me to share my project ideas, and the interns gave me feedback and tips based on what they've experienced.
Some of the tips I learned were:
I am so happy to be connected with passionate, hardworking students that are around my age! I left the building feeling energized and so ready to dive head-first into researching the project.

- Be confident. Most students who come to your presentations will find value in them.
- Be ready to answer lots of questions (especially with younger girls)
- Learn to facilitate conversations that may become stagnant or difficult.
- Use a lot of engaging activities and talk about the value/ lesson drawn from them.
