As human beings, we are constantly learning something new. Yet, one of the hardest things to do is to admit that don't know something. Through this mini project, I started the 2014-2015 school year by becoming more comfortable with "not knowing", and letting that lead me to learn something new. Below is an example.
Not knowing is beautiful because, in a determined mind, it only leads to seeking the answer.
I did some quick research on why Thanksgiving is an important holiday. It wasn't the easiest information to find given that I had to read through some wordy presidential speeches to find the answer. I felt accomplished when I was able to condense a lengthy statement into a quick explanation that answered my question.

And Now I'm Wondering...
It doesn't end here! Once I answered my question, I had other ones that followed. One of my most pressing follow up qeustions was:
Was Thanksgiving used as a kind of economic boost during the beginning of the winter months?
In the words of my teacher, Dr. Patton, "The great thing about ignorance is that it never ends. You can always keep learning."
